Russell is a very experienced senior homicide detective. His work now almost entirely consists of safeguarding advice, scrutiny and reviews. These are either CSPRs or DHRs such as the review into the death of Sara Sharif. (BBC News coverage)

The company also delivers lectures and training, giving advice both operationally and strategically on a range of issues from reviews to advising on local and national policies both in the UK and internationally.

Below is a snapshot of some recent feedback from our Safeguarding courses:

It is the best course I have been to in 16 years, informative, experience of trainer, passion and excellent experienced guest speakers – all of which was delivered at the right level!’

‘Excellent course – No one should attend / be expected to attend a child death without the accreditation this course provides.’

‘It was one of the best courses I have done and probably one I learned most from in relation to my role.’

'I could listen to Russell Wate all day. His knowledge and experience in this field is second to none.'

'It is great to be on a course where the trainers actually know what they are talking about. Dave and Russell have been there and done it. You can't ask for more than that!.
